Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products Tri-Lug Window Knob. This is going to be a replacement for your worn out or broken crank window knob. So if you want to let in that cool air on those nice days or close your windows up tight if there's a storm blowing in, whatever the case may be, it's going to allow you to operate your window again. It does work with the 9/16 inch long shaft.
Our total diameter is going to be right about 2 and a quarter inches. You want to make sure you have enough clearance so that when you're turning that it's not going to bump into anything. Our total thickness is right about an inch and a 16th. Our clearance from the bottom of the knob to the end of our shaft, there is about half an inch.Now earlier, I measured the shaft diameter here with digital calipers. The outer diameter came out to be about 0.47, which is around 15/32 of an inch, or just under half an inch.
The inner diameter is .3 inches, which is just shy of a 5/16 of an inch. When you buy this product, you are not only going to get the window knob, but you're also going to get the replacement screw to help get it installed. This is a 3/4 inch, 832 rounded head machine screw. And as you can see, this is a white knob. If white does not match your interior colors of your RV, we also have the black option if that's a better fit for you.
